The Rivers State House of Assembly on Wednesday reconvened after being under suspension for six months during the period of emergency rule in the state.
Lawmakers returned to the chamber in the temporary State Assembly quarters, Port Harcourt to formally resume plenary.
Their return follows President Bola Tinubu’s announcement on Wednesday lifting emergency rule in Rivers State, announcing the return of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy and state Lawmaker.
