Odeda – The Chairman of Odeda Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Folasade Adeyemo, has been widely commended for commissioning a series of impactful projects across all ten wards of the council, less than a year after assuming office.

The projects, which range from educational infrastructure to water supply and road rehabilitation, were inaugurated in a ceremony attended by top government officials and community leaders, who praised Dr. Adeyemo for effectively bringing the dividends of democracy to the grassroots.

In his address, the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, stated that the projects reflect his administration’s determination to deliver on its promises.

“The Council Chairman has done creditably well with the resources at her disposal to complete these projects. She has shown commitment to the ‘Building Our Future Together’ agenda. I can see that the people are happy. You have done very well, keep it up,” the Governor remarked.

Hon. Hamzat further commended Dr. Adeyemo, who also serves as the Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Ogun State, for her judicious use of resources and dedication to meeting the needs of the people.

Echoing the Governor's sentiments, the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, who hails from Odeda, praised the chairman for her widespread impact.

“Adeyemo has touched all 10 wards with at least two minimum projects. These projects were not set up in one or two locations; they are spread across the ten wards. She has made the dividends of democracy go round. She has built a school where there was none in Obete Ward,” Speaker Elemide said. He lauded her for setting a strong example as a female leader and urged her to continue the good work.
