Hundreds of party faithful of the African Democratic Congress who were Loyalists of the Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun in Ijebu North Local Government have now been received to All Progressives Congress (APC) by the Secretary to Ogun State Government.

Receiving the loyalists to the mega party at Oru Ijebu Igbo, the SSG, Mr Tokunbo Talabi in company with Former Deputy Governors in the State, Senator Gbenga Kaka and Prince Segun Adesegun, said the move to return home by the group was long overdue to be part of the all-inclusive government of Prince Dapo Abiodun who has continued to provide good governance across social strata and party lines.

Talabi said “You’ll party agree with me that you return home is inevitable after your group have been formally received by the governor in Abeokuta to the fold. We are glad to have you back and we want to know that it is time to work together and no longer at cross purposes.

The SSG urged the party faithful to receive them with open arm saying that was high time the party in Ijebu North is repositioned to become more virile urging that “the returnees must be immediately integrated into the APC fold in the scheme of things for better efficiency with the admonition that everyone in the must know that their loyalty now is only to one person, the leader of the  , who is the Governor”.

On their parts, the Former Deputy Governors, Prince Segun Adesegun and the Senator Gbenga Kaka commended the SSG for facilitating the meeting saying it was time the party in the area to be solidified and repositioned to win elections landslide.

The Former ADC chairman Ijebu North, who spoke on behalf of the returnees said their return was inevitable as there was no better watershed than the APC – led government of Prince Dapo Abiodun, saying they have come not only to be part of the party or contend but to add value to what the other members have been doing.

The Chairman of APC Ijebu North Local Government, Mr Mosun Olafipup welcomed the new party members having returned home noting that they must not only be seen to be loyal but acting so, with the charge to existing members to accommodate them and shun any act of hostility.
