Barely 24 hours after a notorious bandit was arrested at a Hajj camp in Abuja, the Department of State Services has apprehended a suspected kidnapper.

It was gathered that the kidnapper, Sani Galadi, was arrested by operatives of the DSS at the Sultan Abubakar International Airport, Sokoto.

Security sources privy to Galadi’s arrest said he was arrested by men of the secret police at about 11.15 am on Monday.

According to the sources, he was waiting to be screened at the airport as part of the preparation for pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj.

The intelligence officers of the DSS were said to have trailed the kidnap kingpin and arrested him at the Hajj terminal of the airport.

According to the source, Galadi is known for his alleged involvement in kidnappings within Kogi State and Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.

“Yes, one Galadi was arrested today at the terminal when undergoing final screening before departure for Saudi Arabia.

“What I know is that Galadi has been taken into custody, and he’s providing necessary answers to questions. He will have his day in Court when the investigation is completed,” the security source told Daily Trust.
