The Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has filed a petition against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and businesswoman Sandra Duru before the Attorney General of the Federation and the Inspector General of Police.
In petitions dated May 15, 2025, and signed by her lawyer, Senator Ehiogie West-Idahosa (SAN), Akpoti-Uduaghan accused both Akpabio and Duru of being involved in a campaign of “criminal defamation, cyber-stalking, conspiracy, and attempted assassination.”
She alleged that the actions were part of a deliberate effort to silence and discredit her using state resources and media attacks.
The senator who was suspended for flouting senate rules earlier in the year claimed her petition is supported by public broadcasts, media reports, eyewitness testimonies, and professional analyses, all pointing to a planned attack on her person and character.
She urged the Attorney General and IGP to investigate both Akpabio and Duru, as well as others involved, saying: “We maintain that the actions against our client amount to a criminal enterprise violating multiple laws.”
