Felicitates Muslims at Eid-al-Adha

In a momentous occasion, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin Sakirat MADEIN, the immediate past and first female Accountant General of the Federation (Nigeria), has emerged the President of the Christ Apostolic Grammar School Old Students' Association (CAGSOSA) 76-81 set.


Delivering her acceptance speech shortly after the election held at the alma mater on Sunday, 1st June, 2025, Dr. MADEIN expressed her profound gratitude to the Electoral Committee, led by Pastor Kunle ADESEMOWO for their dedication and transparency throughout the electoral process. She also thanked members of the association for their decorum and mutual respect during the election period, noting that their conduct reflects the association's strong foundations of love and purpose.


Dr. MADEIN pledged to lead an administration guided by accountability, transparency, and responsibility, promising to work collaboratively with members to build a united front driven by shared memories and a determination to give back to their alma mater.


The new President called on members to come together, share their ideas, 

and contribute their efforts to achieve the association's goals.

She acknowledged the efforts of the immediate-past executives led by Captain Daniel AKINTUNDE, and expressed appreciation for the presence of esteemed members, including Mrs. Bolanle Akinlaja TOMIYE.


She also expressed her sincere appreciation to the good people of Iperu Akesanland, President and members of the national executive, and the entire members of CAGSOSA, for their kind words of felicitation and encouragement poured on her, following her election as the President of the Noble 76-81 Set.


She acknowledged all the notable individuals who have championed lots of laudable developmental activities to sustain the Alma Mater and continue to make it relevant among the comity of schools in Nigeria.

"I love what is going on in our school and promise to contribute my little in any form to its progress. Let's keep the flag flying", MADEIN said in the speech.


As President of the 76-81 Set, Dr. MADEIN is expected to leverage on her wide contacts and exposure as well as leadership/managerial skills to promote the association's objectives, and foster a stronger  bond among its members.


The accounting amazon, consummate administrator, and community development enthusiast will also bring to bear in this new assignment, her strong passion of creating an inclusive access to education for all, as enshrined in the core mandates of her foundation, the Olowo Oloye Foundation.


It will be recalled that the foundation had promoted access to quality education for children, particularly those in underserved communities, through scholarships, school supplies, mentorship, and establishment of learning centers.

The foundation had also organized literacy programmes and educational workshops aimed at improving academic performance, digital literacy, and life skills among school-age children, while it had also empowered people through skill acquisition programmes, vocational training, and micro-financing support, thereby promoting self-reliance and economic independence among the populace.


Meanwhile, the newly-elected President in the spirit of the year 2025 sallah celebrations, has sent her season's greetings to muslim faithfuls.


In her message of felicitations, Dr. MADEIN expressed her heartfelt felicitations to all muslim faithfuls, especially, the indigenes and residents of Iperu on the Sallah celebration and  for the grace to be alive and be counted among those celebrating the 2025 edition.

She gives all glory and adoration to God for preserving and protecting the lives of everyone from the past to the present.


She enjoined everyone to live and co-exist harmoniously while embracing love, peace, and unity amongst themselves., 


Describing Eid-el-Kabir as a symbol of sacrifice as reflected in the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his only son as an act of submission to Allah, the Asiwaju Obinrin of the Blessed Bomode Oku Society and the Guardian Newspapers Seven Wonder Women Awardee, reminded all, especially the islamic adherents to submit themselves to the Almighty Allah and urge them to prioritize their spiritual well-being over worldly desires.


She urged them to live during and after the festival, a life full of piety, sacrifice, self-denial, peace, and love, which the season symbolises.


While wishing all a happy and rewarding celebration, Dr. Oluwatoyin Sakirat MADEIN further charged them to celebrate modestly, while remembering the less-privileged and the vulnerable in the society.
