OGUN REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO PROMOTE INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES

 


The Ogun State government has disclosed its readiness towards promoting investment opportunities that will improve lives and economic well-being of residents as well as investors in the State.


The Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Hon. Ademola Balogun made this known during a courtesy visit by a team from Odua Cooperative Conglomerate Limited, Southwest Regional Apex body of Cooperatives in Nigeria in his office at Oke-Mosan, saying that Prince Dapo Abiodun’s led administration would not relent in its effort at making the State an investment haven in Nigeria, especially in the area of food security and employment generation for youths.


"I want to let you know that Governor Dapo Abiodun is working tirelessly to make sure Ogun State is a haven for investors, more especially investment that will improve the lives of people in the rural communities, put food on the table for everyone, and also create jobs for our young ones. So you are welcome to the State," he said.


Earlier, Team lead and President of the Odua Cooperative Conglomerate limited, Elder Felix Ajibode, said the visit was in respect of the newly established Fufu flour processing factory situated at Ilaro by the Conglomerate, commending the government on its various initiatives and supports to the Cooperative Movement in the State aimed at transforming the economic development of the people and the country at large.


Elder Ajibode explained that the Conglomerate was the investment arm of coorporative in the southwest, noting that the siting of the factory in Ilaro was to ensure an even distribution of investment portfolios by the organisation in the southwest.


The meeting had in attendance the President, Ogun State Cooperative Federation (OGSCOFED), Alh. Wasiu Olaleye; Director of Cooperative Services, Mr. Samuel Mustapha; Deputy Director, Coop. Services, Mr. Akeem Ogunjimi and Mr. Abiodun Okusolubo.
