Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday presided over a meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, with several state governors in attendance.

Those present included the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as well as the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma.

Also in attendance were the governors of Zamfara, Jigawa, Lagos, Anambra, Gombe, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Benue, and Ondo states, alongside the Sole Administrator representing Rivers State.

The NEC meeting comes as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned to Abuja earlier in the day following a state visit to Brazil.
