Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has commended a member representing Ijebu North 2 State Constituency, Hon. Olusegun Odunuga Kaka for facilitating the construction of a health centre and two solar powered bore holes to make life more abundant for the people of his constituency.
The Governor, represented by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, who gave the commendation during the commissioning of some of the numerous projects facilitating by Hon. Kaka at the different communities in his constituency, also urged the people to continue to support the lawmaker to achieve more democratic dividends to the constituency.
He attributed the success of the projects to the cordial working relationship between the Executive and Legislative arms of government, adding that such synergy had continued to yield tangible developmental results across the State.
The Governor’s representative noted that it was the commitment of Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration towards ensuring grassroots development that led to the approval of constituency projects fund for the State lawmakers which had made the execution of constituency projects across the State possible.
The projects included two solar-powered boreholes located at Young Ade Aiyegbami, Ward 9, and Ojude Olooto, Ward 8, as well as the health centre named: the Late Pa Otunba Solomon Oduyemi Health Centre at Ago-Iwoye.
He praised Hon. Kaka Odunuga for his diligence and people-centered representation, noting that all members of the 10th Assembly had gone beyond their approved constituency projects to deliver additional impactful initiatives to their communities; urging the residents of Ago-Iwoye and other beneficiary communities to take ownership of the newly commissioned projects, use them responsibly and protect them from vandalism.
The Governor’s representative further charged the local government authority and relevant agencies to staff and operationalize the newly built health centre for the benefit of the people; while congratulating the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba Abdul Razaq Adesina Adenuga, and the people of Ago-Iwoye on the commencement of this year’s Ago-Iwoye Day celebration, which coincided with the commissioning ceremony.
He also appealed to the people of Ijebu North 2 to continue to support Hon. Kaka Odunuga, stressing that “the more he returns as a member, the more development and projects he can attract to this constituency.”
In his response, the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba Adenuga, appreciated the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and his representative, who is also the Speaker for gracing the occasion and for his consistent support for Hon. Kaka at the floor of the House; stating that the Governor Abiodun led administration's numerous developmental projects across the state, including the newly inaugurated Gateway International Airport are a worthy legacy project
The monarch lauded Hon. Kaka Odunuga's relentless efforts toward community development and appealed to the Speaker to use his good office to facilitate the conversion of the Ago-Iwoye Community Hospital into a General Hospital, as Ifelodun Constituency currently requires such a facility.
Earlier in his remarks, Hon. Kaka Odunuga, expressed gratitude to the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Speaker, the Deputy Speaker and his co- lawmakers; pledging to continue working for the progress of his people, while aligning with the Oba Adenugba's request for the upgrade of the Ago-Iwoye Community Hospital to a General Hospital.
Other projects earlier carried out personally by the lawmaker including massive grading of roads linking rural and urban communities in his constituency as well as other people oriented projects and empowerments.
Also in attendance were a member representing Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Joseph Adegbesan, traditional rulers, political office holders and other community leaders amongst others.
