OGBPMA TRAINS PROFESSIONALS ON 'BUILDING RIGHT "




In a bid to strengthen institutional capacity and enchance service delivery, the Ogun State Building Production Management Authority has organised a one-day training for professionals on effective monitoring and certification on building according Ogun State Built right mantra.



The Commissionner for Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development  TPL Olatunji Odunlami said that the training was necessary to focus on effective site monitoring and stage certification training  is important for quality control and enforcement of building regulations. 


Odunlami noted that it is necessary for professionals to align with the present administration's agenda to boost public sector efficiency and introduce officers to best practices and ongoing developments in the State. 


Declaring the event opened, the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Establishments and Training Mrs Lydia Fojounbo represented by the Director, Management Service and Training, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyi, emphasised the importance of training and re-training of staff towards capacity building for effective service delivery. 


In his own remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development Engr. Sakirudeen Salaam advised the staff to use the opportunity of the training to cross fertilize ideas to improve their conduct in discharging their duties and to uphold the standard in their various profession. 


The acting general Manager, Ogun State Building Production Management Authority, Builder Titilayo Oladogbon  said the purpose of the training is to ensure that  participants are well informed and equipped to carry out their statutory duties of enforcement of the building regulations according to the Ogun State Urban and Regional Planning  and Development (OGURPD) law 2022.


While speaking on Structural Drawings Standards and Compliance requirements Engr. Olanrewaju Apampa,  stressed the need to ensure that relevant professionals are engaged in the construction and supervision of building development.



The participants Sola Babatunde, kuyinu Deyemi and Abubakar kadir appreciated the Ministry for organising the training which would make them gain more knowledge for  in the discharging their duties.
