Staffers of Sagamu Local Government Council have been urged to focus on their duties, give priority to punctuality and work as a team in order to deliver high quality service in the new year.
The Head of Local Government Administration in the council, Mrs. Temitope Ejide, gave the charge while addressing the workers during a prayer session organised by the Management in conjunction with the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Sagamu Branch.
The HOLGA urged the staff to embrace teamwork and make punctuality their watch word while shunning acts of lateness and absenteeism, urging them to be more dedicated to their duties and avoid leakage of confidential information, admonishing them to step up the game as they continue to discharge their official duties and contribute towards improved revenue for the Local government.
"All hands must be on deck, let us work hard to improve the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and such revenue collected must be remitted to the coffers of the Local government. This is a new era in our dearest Local government, let us inject positivity and Sagamu would be synonymous with professionalism, integrity, efficient and effective service delivery" she affirmed.
She stressed that there would be more in-house training and skill development programmes while workers would also be encouraged to save.
Mrs. Ejide advised the staff to work towards being the best at the 2026 Ogun State Local Government Service Award, saying "there's nothing stopping us from winning back to back. It is my vision for the Sagamu Local government”.
The HOLGA appreciated God for the cross over to 2026 and for sparing the lives of everyone in spite of happenings in the year 2025.
In his address, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Sagamu Branch, Comrade Wale Igayemi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Executive Chairman and the Management team for their support for the Union, while appreciating the entire staff for their unflinching support and understanding in the past.
