The CEO of New Generation foundation, Hon. Wale Kuku has urged the indigenes of Ogun State to stay focused in his new year message to the people.

According to the statement, Hon. Kuku urged the people of Ogun East and Ogun State to brace up, stay focused and deliberately position themselves for the new year as the future belongs to those who prepare for it.

The statement reads further;

NEW YEAR MESSAGE

Dear good people of Ogun East and Ogun State,

We celebrate the year gone by — a year of growth, lessons, resilience, and renewed strength. As we step into this New Year, we do so with high energy, great expectations, and unshakable belief in what we can achieve together.

This is not just another year — this is a year of dimensional change for Ogun East and Ogun State.

I urge the good people of Ogun East and Ogun State to brace up, stay focused, and deliberately position yourselves for the New Year. The future belongs to those who prepare for it, and the time to prepare is now.

At my Foundation, New Generation, we remain committed to touching lives meaningfully through programmes that empower individuals and strengthen communities. Transformation is never a solo journey, and I invite you to be part of the change we are building together.

Our focus remains clear and people-centred — Rural Transformation, Economic Development, and the Green Economy.

Through the Ipele Tokan Programme, we continue to support artisans and small business owners for next-level growth. In 2025 alone, over 800 market women and artisans across six major local governments accessed ₦50,000–₦100,000 grant support. This initiative has delivered rapid economic benefits to Ogun East and Ogun State at large.

As we often say, Ipele Tokan is not just about funding businesses — it is about accelerating livelihoods and strengthening local economies. The impact is visible. Businesses empowered through the Foundation continue to engage our Growth Team to share their progress. Worthy of note is Oze Classic Wears, which expanded operations from a small shop in Igbeba, Ijebu-Ode, to a larger outlet in the bustling Oke Owa Metropolis.

Under Business First, we are strengthening the formal sector through structured opportunities for growth. Through the Business First THRIVE Programme, over 1,000 businesses registered to become legal entities under the THRIVE Accelerator Programme, in partnership with SMEDAN. These businesses are currently being supported to access free CAC registration, laying the foundation for sustainability, scale, and competitiveness.

Agriculture and food security remain critical pillars of our development agenda. Over the last two years, the NG GRO Programme has cultivated more than 500 acres of cassava and plantain across WTC and Etiosa communities. In addition, the Didako Idan (Magic Farming) Programme is attracting major sponsorship and will expand from 5,000 acres of free farmlands to 10,000 acres by 2026. As we say, food security is no longer a promise — it is a structured and scalable programme.

Education continues to shape our long-term vision. NG Learn, our Learning Management System, provides access to educational resources and learning aids. Over the past five years, NG Learn has sponsored 4,432 free JAMB registrations for Ogun East indigenes. This is complemented by our annual scholarship scheme, where five top-performing JAMB students are enrolled into the Wale Kuku Educational Development Plan.

The 2026 Free JAMB Programme will be no different. Applications will open on January 10 for the 2026 NG Learn Free JAMB Registration Initiative, because access to education must never be limited by circumstance.

In line with our slogan — Learn, Create Wealth, Live Well — we have deliberately invested in youth development. Over 5,000 youths have been reached through the Modern Farmer Programme, Techandwork, and Business First initiatives. Through these efforts, we are reimagining and building a practical model for 21st-century relevance, utility, and evolution of Ogun State youths.

We are also deliberately opening the floodgates of the Digital Economy. Through Techandwork, we are targeting 10,000 new digital and technical skills, scaling capacity across our skills acquisition programmes.

This New Year calls for courage, growth, and action.
