Honourable Femi Ogunbanwo, Member representing Ijebu Ode, Odogbolu and Ijebu North East Central Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late sage and first Executive Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olabisi Onabanjo, following the passing of the former First Lady and matriarch of the family, Chief Mrs. Lucia Onabowale Onabanjo. 

She answered the glorious call on Monday, 12th January 2026.

The lawmaker, fondly known as Omo-Iwa, was received by Barrister Bukky Onabanjo, Chairperson of the Ogun State Local Government Commission, alongside other members of the Onabanjo family.

In his remarks, Honourable Ogunbanwo noted that when someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. 

He described Mama Lucia Onabanjo as a woman who lived a fulfilled life, establishing herself as a symbol of love, peace, and stability within her family and beyond.

He further eulogised the late Mama as a quiet yet resilient pillar behind the late sage, lending credence to the aphorism that behind every successful man stands a strong, supportive, and reasonable woman.

Honourable Ogunbanwo prayed for God’s comfort and strength for the family in this moment of grief and assured them of his continued support during this crucial time.
