ALAYE OF ODOGBOLU HAS REDEFINED ROYALTY- AMOSUN


Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has joined other well meaning Nigerians
to felicitate with his royal Majesty, Elesi 1, Alaye of Odogbolu, Oba
Adedeji Olusegun Onagoruwa, on his 10th Year Coronation Anniversary,
describing him as a role model and blessing to his community and the State
at large.

 Speaking at the thanksgiving service, held at the
cathedral Church of St. Pauls, Odogbolu, in Odogbolu Local Government Area
of the State, the Governor maintained that Oba Onagoruwa's emergence has
been iconic and his unique style and giant stride has redefined royalty,
saying he is an inspirational leader.

 Amosun who was represented
by his Deputy, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga and other top government
functionaries, including Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Otunba
Bimbo Ashiru, commended the monarch for being good to his subjects by
uniting and developing Odogbolu land with various developmental projects
being witnessed since he ascended the throne, wishing him long reign, full
of prosperity.

Earlier in his sermon, the Bishop, Diocese of
Remo, Methodist Church of Nigeria, The Rt. Reverend Gboyega Ohu urged Oba
Onagoruwa to remain close to God, so as to continue receiving divine
directions, for more successful reign over his subjects, calling for unity
among the traditional rulers across the State, ‘’as God dwells where peace
and tranquillity abides’’.

Rt. Rev. Ohu while lauding Senator
Ibikunle Amosun for his giant strides in all sectors across the State,
especially, infrastructural development, urged him not to leave any of the
ongoing projects uncompleted.

Responding, Oba Onagoruwa
appreciated God for the wisdom to rule over his subjects, commending the
people of Odogbolu for their supports, which had made it possible for him
to rule successfully in the last 10 years.

‘’I want to thank you
all for standing by me. I must also commend our Governor, Senator Ibikunle
Amosun for transforming the State; he’s doing a wonderful job and we cannot
but complement his good deeds by making our people happy. Let us continue
to work in unity, to move our state forward’’, he stated.
