...Embark on Tour of LG Facilities.

Their are feelers on the way that the people of Ogun State; especially those at the grassroots, will  soon start enjoying dividends of democracy as a result of the constitution of Transition Committees in all the twenty local administrations.

Ijebu Ode Local Government, one of the twenty local administrations in Ogun State is a typical example of this rising hope when the Ijebu Ode Local Transition Committee comprising the Chairman; (Engr.) Omo Oba Olugbenga Olugbile and his team assumed office getting set for the task ahead.

Accompanied by the Head of Local Government Administration; Mrs. Feyisara Ogunneye and other career officers, the Committee members namely Alhaji Anibi; the Vice Chairman, Dr. Amos Oluwo; Secretary, Comrade Niyi Quadri and Alhaja Abiodun Amisu were taken on a facility tour round offices, departments and formations within the local government premises. This afforded them the opportunity of knowing, on firsthand basis, the state of infrastructure in the council as well as areas that need urgent attention.

In his reaction, Engr. Olugbile thanked Almighty God expressing appreciations to His Excellency, the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, for considering them  worthy of representing their people.

He then expressed the  willingness of the Committee to consolidate on the track record of the Dapo Abiodun-led administration which is targeted at making the people the focal point by bringing governance to their doorsteps.

He also enjoined the civil service workforce to work in tandem with the policies of the State Government in the avowed determination to move the state and its component units forward.

As a Committee that is prepared for the coming task, he said, "the key value of the new administration will be based on quality service delivery in all sectors of governance".

The team rounded off the tour with the inspection of the ongoing construction of some blocks of shops at Akintonde Arcade at Oyingbo area of Ijebu Ode.
