OGUN APC LGA POLL: POLITICIANS REACT, SAY IJEBU-ODE IS NOT FOR SALE 


As comments continue to mount, public opinion shaping thoughts, expectation are getting increase and Ogun State Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) is getting ready to announce the names of each political party’s successful candidate for the coming Local Government electoral context.


Concerned People of Ijebu-Ode had called for electoral vigilance, lamenting that Ijebu-Ode is not for sale politically following an early rumor that revealed that some people are on with a game to twist the outcome of APC Ijebu-Ode leaders' harmonious decision reached recently.


The rumor had it that, the decision that brought about nomination of aspirant for Chairmanship and aspirants for Councilorship positions of Ijebu-Ode are about to be tampered  in  exchange for money. (The rumor not peddled by BoldNEWS Africa)


An anonymous who craved for name to be withheld said, the success of the election should be a thing of joy for Ijebu-Ode people and not to be trade for money, as some people are occupied with futile efforts to buy off people decision, as the  spread rumors revealed that there is a call for re-run of the Election 

 

The anonymous said, the rumor is on Called for, ridiculous oppinon, and attempt to undermine people Intelligent, he said  it not an easy political effort to conduct the most peaceful election in a state.


It is very important to know that any attempt to truncate the decision of the leaders, the decision of the people is an attempt to amputate the party’s standing legs for the race. 


It will be recalled that BoldNEWS Africa reported that OLUGBILE EMERGENCE RAISES HOPE FOR FREE AND FAIRS ELECTION following the peaceful outcome of that election.


 Hence the anonymous’ suggestion that the Area’s Electoral Progress   should be paramount above individual interest.


The Area have won glory for itself and should be focusing on the next line of action rather than bother with unjustified claims and counter claims on mere rumors  

    

It is on record that All Aspirants and eligible voters have displayed sense of good leadership, and modern political maturity with their comportment during the election that brought about the OLUGBILE EMERGENCE, therefore enemy of progress should not be allowed to toy with the success. 


OLUGBILE is one of the serving transition Chairmen in Ogun State who successfully scale trough a party decision process to emerge as top contender. He emerged in a process that did not only provide political party answer to Ijebu-Ode political questions, but most needed right answer for the development of grassroots politics in Ogun State and Nigeria at large.


 Be reminded, BoldNEWS Africa Correspondent’s reported that the election is a huge success as indicated below, dot-to-dot of the election for individual and  public review


At about twelve o’clock, a constituted thirty- three party’s leaders were on sit wholeheartedly to listening to the fifteen Aspirants, who were present to address the audience with briefing on their aspiration; the articulate aspirants with self-comportment took turn-by- turn to expatiate on their agenda for the Local Government Area, if elected

In the Aspirants separate briefing, security, health, education, foreign investments, gender’s equality, environment and internal generated revenue and youth’s empowerment top their priority, immediately after the briefing, the leaders considerably subjected the aspirants’ effort to convincingly prove their points, their aspiration and qualification to be the party’s flag bear to a vote to determine the winner.

The leaders in their political wisdom requested for signatory approval of all the leaders and aspirants present to proceed in consonant with principle of free and fair process, without serious hesitation everybody consented, and the process proceeded.

With   honesty and transparence the thirty-three leaders that were also the approved eligible voters, deciders of candidates’ fate of byvoting  were served with signed voters’ paper and direction to penned down their prefer candidate’s name.  

In orderliness, all voters’ paper with one candidate’s name written was submitted for verification and counting; thereafter an attempt to carry over the counting to the following day was seriously contested and rejected bya member of the eligible voters and with supports of the majority, the was made to continue  .

As the vote came to an end, Fretfulness became noticeable high, as the commenced, some of the aspirants’ forehead lines sprouted in eagerness, some were unease on their sit wanted to hear the result.

The vote was counted and collation of the voters’ paper followed, only four of the Aspirant had votes. 

The votes counted are: 

Engr. Gbenga Olugbile recorded 17 votes, 

Hon. Dare Alebiosu 11 votes Recorded, 

Hon Titilayo Adeyemi, Recorded 3 votes and 

Hon. Wale Kuku Recorded 2 votes 

Others were with no recorded vote.

The Constituted Party Leaders that witnessed and served as the eligible voters comprised Commissioners, Past Local Government Leaders, National Assembly Members, Youth Leaders and powerful party dignitaries.

Apparently, interested Ijebu-Ode residents became curious to know the winner and they find their way in large numbers to the venue shrouded the hall that was security tight.

 Without worry any trouble, the election result was announced, and all contenders in the spirit of sportsmanship exchanged greeting and share happiness for the success of the excise
