The newly sworn-in Permanent Secretary in the Ogun State Ministry of Rural Development, Mr. Adetunji Kanimodo has called on the staff of the Ministry and its parastatals to remain focused and committed to duty, in order to allow the government, achieve its lofty policies and programmes for the people.

Kanimodo gave this charge at a maiden meeting with members of staff in the Ministry, Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) and Ogun State Rural Water and Sanitation Agency (RUWASTAN).

The Permanent Secretary who reminded them of the policy thrust of the Ministry, urge them to be proactive and dynamic in the discharge of their duties to make rural dwellers feel more impact of the government, stating that “the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration, has a lot in stock as dividends of democracy”.

He admonished them to exhibit a spirit of oneness that would help the agencies move forward, adding that they should always follow rules and regulations of the civil service.

"I want to implore you to be diligent, punctual and carry out your duties as expected. Being efficient will allow the government to achieve its laudable policies and programmes for the benefit of the people, particularly at the grassroot ", Kanimodo stated.

Responding on behalf of other staff in the Ministry, the Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Mr. Adekunle Oyesanwen assured the Permanent Secretary of their support, saying they were ready to cooperate with him to deliver the mandate of the agency.

On their part, the State Project Coordinator, RAAMP and the State Programme Manager, RUWATSAN, Engr. Adekunle Muritala and Mr. Sola Ogunbo appreciated Mr. Kanimodo for the visit, pledging their cooperation for the progress of the State.
