OGSG Issues Letters of Employment to New Ogun Teach Recruits

Ogun State government has started issuing employment letters to newly recruited teachers into the State Teaching Service Commission programme, called OGUN TEACH.

Not less than 100 letters will be given out to successful persons today, according to Evang. Olalekan Ifede, chairman of TESCOM, Ogun State.

He said others would collect their letters in batches and would be deployed to schools as soon as they finish documentation.

He advised successful applicants to get across to the Commission with necessary documents as soon as they are contacted via SMS.

  1. The Chairman,
    Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM),
    Abeokuta.

    Dear Sir,

The Living Poor For Appointment With TESCOM

I was part of the candidates that made it to the interview stage and I scored 76 percent with evident at hand. I did not only graduated with honour (Degree in Education) but worthy in character and learning. Youth and intellect is behind me.

I am a living poor man that struggled through university education. My living world of great distress and deprivation. However, I was great deal happier when I heard the news that the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, ordered the immediate release of appointment letters to 5000 newly employed teachers under the Ogun Teach Programme (The Tribune, 25 October, 2021).

To this said news, my aged parents congratulated myself as a result of the heard news. To this day, I am floundering in miserable and hopelessness coupled with feeling of amazement dashing my hope.

Sir, it would be an injustice to pradervand to attempt to summarize the PRESS RELEASE documents of the Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin to the Governor of Ogun State, in a single paragraph.

I circled the following outline statements in the press release of the Guardian Newspaper dated 22 October, 2021 thus below:

    1. That Ogun State government announced the issuing of employment letters to newly recruited teachers into the state Teaching Service Commission programme, called OGUN TEACH.

    2. That the distribution of appointment letters would be done in batches, until all the 5000 newly employed teachers are engaged and they would be deployed to schools as soon as they finish documentation.

    3. That all successful candidates would be contacted by SMS and the list made available at the Teaching Service Commission State Secretariat.

I would speak with a reserve and a perspicacity because the Chairman of the Ogun State Teaching Service Commission, Evang. Olalekan Ifede is saddled with the responsibility to supervise the distribution of appointment letters exercise and enhancing the checks and balances necessary for the scheme to succeed.

Sir, you cannot be accused of excessive tenderness towards Prince Dapo Abiodun for the successful of this distributions.

To free the hollow heart from paining, I make an appeal on this day to your Ministry (Teaching Service Commission), that:

The distribution of appointment letters should not be done in slow pace. There should be a widely template rather than SMS to contact the successful 5000 teachers under the Ogun Teach Programme.

I would opine that the distributions should be published in the Ministry for the benefit of 5000 newly employed teachers.

    God Bless Ogun State.

    Dare Leke
