OGSG PARTNERS IT FIRM FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The Ogun State Government in collaboration with Odu'a Investment Company Limited (OICL) has partnered the Software Business Solutions Consulting (SBSC), to develop its economic system.

Governor Abiodun stated this in Abeokuta, during the official launch of SBSC office and inspection of the Information Technology (IT) equipment installed by the company, saying the State “is no doubt ready for software business solutions”.

" With what am seeing on ground here, I believe it's not going to be training alone for software engineers, but the State would become a tech solution to other states     of the federation and increase its Internally Generated Revenue.

In his welcome address, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Information Communication Technology (ICT), Mr. Dayo Abiodun, said the State has rapidly developed in IT, which was the reason SBSC established its branch in Abeokuta, saying Ogun is ready to accommodate more private organisations that would develop its economy.

Speaking, the Managing Director, SBSC, Dr. Abdul Balogun, said the company would train software engineers, empower women and create technological solutions for seamless governance, as well as generate employment for the youths, lauding the present’ administration for partnering with the company.

"We have a vision to train software engineers, business analysts, UI/UX designers, Front-end and Back- end developers, Quality Assurance Testers through our incubation programme. We will also create employment for over 150 IT engineers and turn Ogun State to global solution, in terms of technology, thereby boosting its economic system", Balogun stated.

In his remark, the Group General Manager, OICL, Mr. Adewale Raji commended SBSC for bringing such initiative to the State, noting that his company would be supportive to ensure youths are empowered to be digitally productive.
