Equipment worth over N115m has been procured by Ogun State Government and are at the point of distribution to the nine State and General hospitals across the State according to their needs.

Speaking, the Director, Planning, Research and Statistics in the State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Wellington Ogunsanya said the state-of-the-art equipment include, High Performing Liquid Chromatography HPLC, Multi-Parameter Monitor, Dental Chairs, C-Arm Intensifier and Osteotomy Set, Operating Theatre lamps, Operating Theatre tables, among others.

“This equipment is ready for uptake by the State Hospitals in Abeokuta, Ijebu-Ode and Ota, the Dental Centers in Abeokuta, Ijebu-Ode, Sagamu, Ota, Ilaro and Ifo, while the general Hospitals in Odeda, Idiroko and Ibiade will also have a share of them”, Dr. Ogunsanya stated.

He noted that the present administration is committed to making its health facilities more functional for the residents to have access to affordable and qualitative health care services, adding that the equipment would complement the efforts of the health workers in the delivery of timely treatment for patients.

Also speaking, the Head of the Central Medical Store, Pharm. Oluyemisi Kayode appreciated the government for the procurement, while promising to keep the equipment safe.
