ABIODUN's AIDE CHARGES RELIGIOUS LEADERS TO SPEAK AGAINST VIOLENCE.

The Ogun State Government has tasked religious leaders across the country to openly condemn and speak against violence in all forms especially as the nation draws nearer to another electioneering year.

This was made known by the Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Barr. Femi Ogunbanwo while speaking as a guest lecturer at the 16th Synod of Ijebu Aglican Diocese held at Iworo Ijebu in Ijebu North East Local Government area of the State.

Ogunbanwo who spoke on the lecture titled " Towards a Credible General Election: Our civic responsibility". enjoined the church to always educate their congregants to realize that the ultimate power rest with the people, noting that the best way to exercise this power is through the electoral process.

He noted that the Prince Dapo Abiodun's led Administration has admitted the daily prayers from the church and other religious organisations to have been working wonders and proved to be more effective.

While speaking, the Bishop of Ijebu Anglican Diocese, Rt. Revd (Dr) Peter Oludipe appreciated the gigantic developmental projects under the present Administration, assuring that as a Church they must continue to seek the face of God for the unity and economic sustainability of our country while offering prayers for our political leaders.

The Bishop while commending the Governor for the evenly distribution of the developmental projects all across the State, called upon the government not to rest on his oars in delivering the even dividend of democracy to the people of the State.
