IMPROVED IGR: YNLG CHAIRMAN SEEKS COOPERATION OF TRADITIONAL RULERS

The Chairman, Yewa North Local Government, Hon. Gabriel Ogunyomi has sought the cooperation of traditional rulers at Oja-Odan and Ijoun towards upgraded facilities, improved security and provision of other identified needs  that would enhance merchandise activities at the markets.


Ogunyomi made the appeal during a courtesy visit to the monarchs where he identified with plights of the traders, promising to boost their livelihood in the market as revenue increases. 


He frowned at the rate of traffic-jam being experienced by motorists along the axis, occasioned by traders' carefree display of goods beside the roads, maintaining that the present administration under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun remained unwavering at ensuring that markets in Ogun State operate optimally.


On his part, the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Alhaji Ayo Lemose promised that, the Council would address challenges being faced in the market towards improving trading activities, appealing to the traders to cooperate with revenue officers to enhance development.


In their own responses, the Olaja of Oja-Odan, Oba Adetunji Oyebanji and Onijoun of Ijoun, Oba Gabriel Ogunji lauded Abiodun's various interventions on infrastructure, health, education and the recently launched enabled Wi-Fi transportation system in the state with adequate security of lives and property.


They pointed out that the present administration's feat on Infrastructures has brought unprecedented developments to the state, promising unflinching support for the government.


Speaking earlier, the Iyaloja of Oja-Odan, Alhaja Birikisu Dosunmu, appealed to the Council to help in renovation of damaged shops and evacuation of blocked drainages to allow free  flow of water during rainfall 


While the Babaloja of Ijoun, Chief Gabriel Olaleye enjoined traders to pay their ticket dues promptly, he promised his unalloyed support with present government.
