Veteran Nollywood Actress, Jumoke George inugurated as Ebunlobinrin Foundation President as Foundation Celebrates 10Years Anniversary.


Ebunlobinrin Foundation, a non-governmental organization on Sunday, 28th of August inugurated a new executive board headed by a new president, a veteran nollywood actress, Mrs Olajumoke George during the Foundation's 10th Year Anniversary.


The event which gathered high profile personalities within Southwest Region of the country including Obas and Politicians, was held at Excellence Hotel Ogba, Lagos.


In her inaugural address, Mrs George appreciates the Foundation Life Chairman, Hon Okoya Michael for finding her and other board members worthy of piloting the affairs cum programs of the foundation. She assures the members of the foundation of a renewed commitment and programs that will be geared towards uplifting women from the shackles of penury and empowerment that will aid their financial emancipation.


While delivering his welcome address earlier on, Hon Michael Okoya, the Life Chairman and Founder of the Foundation representated by Ms Silva, expressed his delight over the successes recorded so far in the foundation. He recounted some of the programs embarked on by the foundation which includes soft loans, seasonal empowerment programs, movie production titled Asa, beauty pageantry promoting Yoruba Cultural Heritage amongst others. He however charged the new board to come up with more laudable programs that will place the foundation and her members at the pinnacle of success and achievements. 

The guest speaker, Mrs Bamidele Olatunde in her lecture admonish women not just to be fed but also feed the nation. She noted that, women though are expected to be help-meet for men, but the realities of the economy has placed more challenges on women to also go out there to be breadwinners if need arise. 

Speaking on the theme for the anniversary, "Positioning Women for Excellence" Mrs Olatunde Emiola Bamidele said, women should be challenged to take the lead role especially in politics, commerce and other works for human endeavour yet remain submissive to their husbands.


Stage performance, Ewi (Chants) rendition among other side attractions glitters the day. Amongst the crème de la crème at the event includes Mrs Fisayo Adaralohun, Chief Aina Gold, Sir Shina Akanni, YeyeOge Elegushi, Chief Mrs Seyi Adelabu, Yeye Aare of Tampam, Otunba Akinyemi, Hon Moji Badmus, Prince Yomi Orekoya and many others.
