The Protestant University of West Africa in Republic of Benin has honored one of their school graduands, the Senior  Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State on environment, Amb. Farouk Akintunde with an honorary award for emerging as an outstanding student of the institution and for his tremendous roles towards the development of the school.

The award was presented to Amb. Farouk Akintunde on Friday when the representatives of the institution paid a courtesy visit to him  at his office, Okemosan Abeokuta.

 A principal faculty officer of the University,  Mr Adekunle Abayomi described Farouk Akintunde who is a graduate of Criminology and strategic studies with Second Class (honours) as a man of good qualities, saying that he has made his country and state proud.

He said ''We are here today to honor Amb. Farouk Akintunde. Today marks a  special day in the history of the school and to pay a courtesy visit to one of our outstanding students, Amb. Farouq Akintunde.

"He is one of the outstanding and exceptional students that the university has  produced. He is a distinguished student and very  important caliber in the society that is why we have come to honor him today''

Mr Adekunle said Farouk is a proud  ambassador of the institution.

"We want to urge him to always remember that he is a proud ambassador of the institution. He should continue to make us proud''

Meanwhile, Amb. Farouk Adeniyi Akintunde thanked the representatives of the institution for the honor, saying that this will encourage him to do more.

He added that he was elated about the courtesy visit, adding that he will continue to make them proud anywhere as an alumni of the institution. 

 Akintunde said'' I am very elated to see you today all the way from Portnovo to pay a courtesy visit to me today. This visit really means a a lot to me. I want to appreciate you once again for finding me worthy of this honor. I want to assure you that I will continue to make you proud''

'' I am pleased with the academic standard of the institution because all products of this great citadel of learning are making waves in other part of the continent like USA, Canada and the rest''
