PDP WOMEN LEADERS, OVER 300 FOLLOWERS DECAMP TO APC IN IJEBU-NORTH LG

Three (3) Women Leaders with their over 300 followers have dumped the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in ijebu-North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The decampees who owe their allegiance to the APC said they have come to the light as their experience with their erstwhile party has been shrouded in regret since they have not been able to enjoy the dividends of democracy from the party.

Speaking with newsmen in Awa, Ijebu North Local Government Area, the erstwhile PDP Women Leaders for Ward 8,9 and 10, Mrs Onitilo Fatima, Mrs Ogunlana Oluwakemi and Mrs Adenike Oduniyi respectively who took turns to speak said they have decided to join the progressives because the APC is associated with progress and developments they desire for themselves and their people.

The women said the kind gestures of the Federal House of Representatives Aspirant for the ijebu-North Federal Constituency and the giant strides of the Governor has endeared them to the party and they have come to play their part towards ensuring the Prince Dapo Abiodun's re-election.

Receiving the Decampees to the party, Chairman, All Progressives Congress Ijebu North Local Government, Mr Mosun Oladipupo welcomed them to the party with open arms saying the party is ready to accommodate as many as a willing to join the winning team, saying the decampees have now become stakeholders in the party.

On his part, the APC House of Representatives Aspirant, for Ijebu North Federal Constituency, Mr Joseph Adegbesan said the decampees were his allies when he was in the PDP , noting that they have only returned home where they belonged.

Adegbesan said they were bound to return to the party since progress has ceased with the PDP in the area, maintaining that they have to return to where there is respite and hope for the future is guaranteed
