APC professional women dedicates campaign vehicle to governor Abiodun


Professionals Women Council of the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC), in Ogun State has donated a customised campaign vehicle to the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for the smooth running of his re-election campaign.


The presentation was made in Abeokuta during a programme tagged; "tidy up Nigeria and Sweep Ogun State Clean from Top to Bottom" for Tinubu/Shettima, Dapo Abiodun/Salako-Oyedele and all APC candidates in the 36 States of the Federation,  organised by the APC Professionals Women Council.


The National Coordinator of the Women Council, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo noted that the generosity was to appreciate the works of transformation embarked upon by Abiodun since assumption of office in 2019 as the Governor of Ogun State, especially in the area of infrastructure, education, health, employment generation, nutrition, environment, and agriculture, to mention but a few.


Mrs. Soyombo, in a statement signed by the Media Officer of the National Coordinator of the group, Mr. Segun Kolawole, said "the programme was to encourage women to take a lead in Nation building by showing examples of how waste can be disposed properly, at the designated points provided by the government, encouraging them to reduce, reuse and recycle waste for wealth creation.


The Women Coordinator enjoined women to go out in their large numbers and vote for Asiwaju Tinubu, a tested and trusted presidential candidate and for Prince Dapo Abiodun because of his systematic approach in turning around the situation of the state, saying one good term, surely deserves another.


She explained that the environmental sanitation was organise to hold simultaneously in all the 36 States of Nigeria, saying "a healthy Nation is a wealthy Nation".


Receiving the donation on behalf of the Governor, the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi who appreciated the professional women for contributing to the success of the re-election bid, said Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration would continue to prioritise the interest of women, describing them as most important in Nation building.


Also Speaking, the Ogun State Coordinator of the Council, Comrade Omolara Sansa said the group would work tirelessly to secure maximum support from women in the State for the return of Prince Dapo as the governor. 


Speaking during the sanitation exercise, the National Youth Coordinator 1 for the group, Dr. Angel Adelaja-kuye posited seeing Women, both young and adults sweeping markets, motor parks and major streets was to encourage youths to take the lead in cleaning up their immediate environments, saying the Nation belongs to them and they must take care of it.
