Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun said the ongoing renovation of Asero-Adire Kampala market in Abeokuta South Local Government Area would soon be completed and ready for use in 2023.

Prince Abiodun gave the assurance during an unscheduled visit to the market, saying his administration was committed to the development of the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Abiodun, while commending the Federal Government’s initiative on the upliftment of entrepreneurs through the provision of transformers, solar panel, cloth dryers, completed stalls, among others in the market, stated that the present administration as partners in progress would complement the effort by giving the Adire center a facelift.

"This Asero market is one of the two places where Adire is produced in the State. The Federal Government has chosen different MSMEs programmes across the country and our Adire market is one of them. It has invested in different areas to support the efficiency of the production of the fabric”, he said.

In her remarks, the Iyaloja, Asero Adire-Kampala market, Mrs. Oluwakemi Oloyede applauded Governor Abiodun for uplifting the market, saying the renovation would boost business activities and generate income for the government.
