The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta South Local Government, Ogun State on Saturday inaugurated its Campaign Committee to mobilise votes for the party, ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The committee has Hon. Moruf Afolabi Afuape as Director-General and Hon. Afeez Balogun as the Deputy Director General.

Inaugurating the committee, the  Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC in Abeokuta South Local, Hon. Adetunji Henry Fagbenro said the committee is  mandated to woo voters for the party’s Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, his running mate, Sen. Kashim Shettima, the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun and other candidates of the party in the state.

Fagbenro appreciated the party members for their efforts towards ensuring the victory of the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun in 2023.

He said “Today’s inauguration of the campaign committee consolidates our preparation for the general election. The task ahead of us is enormous, but with the quality of membership of this committee, I am positive that our party will once again prove its ability to successfully midwife another victorious election outing in 2023. We must live up to the billing.

"Your nomination to serve in this committee is based on your knowledge and ability in campaign strategy and planning, mobilisation, logistics and election management. The success of the general election therefore rests on your effectiveness and commitment.

"You are enjoined to work as a team and to carry everyone on board". He concluded.

The DG of the campaign committee, Hon. Afolabi Afuape while speaking with newsmen said that APC remains unbeatable in Ogun State, adding that he is quiet sure that other members of the committee will work for the victory of all APC candidates in the state.

"I want to charge you all to put in all your efforts  to ensure that our party records resounding victory in all the elections-state-wide,” the party chairman said.

He said the success of the party at the general elections rested on the committee’s effectiveness and commitment.

Also the Deputy Director General, Hon. Afeez Balogun maintained that he has  no doubt that the  committee will do the party  proud and win overwhelmingly for our APC.

He said “I am glad to say with a sense of satisfaction that the growing fortunes of the party in Ogun State, back-to-back in the last six election cycles will no doubt increase our chances of a landslide victory.”

He urged the committee to concentrate on issues that would add value to the success of the party and avoid issues that might distract the party from the path of victory.

“We should remain resolute, committed and law abiding throughout the assignment and beyond.
