Procuring entities across the State have been urged to follow due process and conform with the procurement law of the State.

          The Director-General, Bureau of Public Procurement, Dr. Adesina Olanloye who stated this during a sensitisation and interactive session with his team and some agencies of government at Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, highlighted the need for Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government to be abreast of the procurement process with the mindset that ‘’it is practicable’’.

          He said, "there must be an initiating memo from the user departments, evidence of a request for quotation, evidence of registration of service provider, accounting officers’ approval for the composition of evaluation committee, evaluation report with supporting documents, minutes of appropriate tenders board meeting, letter of awards and executed contract agreement and many more, which are in line with Ogun State Public Procurement Law (Amendment), 2021.

          In his remark, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Alhaji Waheed Adesina appreciated the Bureau for the enlightenment, urging other participants to adhere to procurement guidelines for the benefit of the Civil and Public Service.

          Others present at the interactive session were representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Moshood Abiola Stadium, among others.
