An aspirant for the position of Olu of Orile Imo, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Ogun State, High Chief Dr. Olakunle Olalekan has urged Nigerians during this year’s Eid-el-Kabir  (ileya festival) to keep Hope alive in the face of undaunting economic challenges bedevilling the country.

He also urged them to commit their total trust unto Almighty Allah who is able to lay every anxiety to rest.

This was made known in a statement issued by his media aide, Olajide Osoba and made available to newsmen.

The contender who is also the Asiwaju of Orile Imo said  Eid-el-Kabir offers many lessons on selflessness and absolute trust in Allah, as exemplified in the life of Prophet Ibrahim who accepted to sacrifice his only son in obedience to the command and will of Allah.

He called on all Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for the nation and reach out to the less privileged as well as the vulnerable ones in their environment.

Asiwaju of Orile Imo also urged Nigerains to use the occassion to pray  for the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take the country to a greater height.

He stressed the need to pray for unity, peace, stability and development of Nigeria ; and wisdom to leaders in the quest to fulfill all their electioneering promises.
