Recently impeached speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Kunle Oluomo, has declared his removal as null and void.

Addressing journalists on Friday, Oluomo who represents Ifo State Constituency 1, declared that he remains speaker of the House.

“It [his impeachment] is unconstitutional, null, void and of no effect whatsoever,” Oluomo declared.

Recall that that Oluomo was impeached on Tuesday by 18 members of the house.

The lawmakers accused him of over gross misconduct and subsequently elected with Oludaisi Elemide to replace him.
