Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has donated a brand new bus to the Ogun State Chapter of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

Presenting the bus on behalf of Governor Abiodun, at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, noted that the Governor had fulfilled his promise, in order to demonstrate his genuine support to public relations practice, describing members as critical stakeholders in policy implementation and building government’s public reputation.

He promised government’s continued support to the Institute, while urging the body to give needed credence to government policies and effectively manage the reputation of government at all levels.

Responding, Chairperson of the state Chapter, NIPR, Mrs. Seun Boye, appreciated Governor Abiodun for the prompt delivery of the bus, noting that it was “in fulfilment of His Excellency’s promise less than four hours after giving the promise at our opening ceremony earlier this afternoon.

“We are indeed impressed by this gesture and on behalf of the National President and the State Chapter of our Institute, we appreciate the Governor and assure you that we will continue to give necessary support and credence to the policies of government, in a way that will promote mutual understanding between government and its people”.

Mrs. Boye expressed optimism that the body would also get a befitting office, as pledged by the governor, informing that having a conducive office had been a challenge.

Also at the event were the Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya and Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, among others.
