The Iperu Development Association led by Chief Babajide OYETI has inaugurated the IDA 2024 Electoral Committee.

The event held yesterday at the IDA Plaza, Atenda, Iperu, featured the inauguration of the Chairman and Secretary of the committee, Mr. Sakiru SODIPO; and Mrs. Iyabo JOLAOSO-AJAYI, by the association's Chairman, Chief Babajide OYETI.

Speaking shortly after the inauguration, Chief OYETI charged the committee to conduct a free, fair, and transparent election that will usher in a new executive of the association.

Responding, the Chairman of the newly-inaugurated committee, Sakiru SODIPO, thanked God for the grace to be counted worthy of the appointment among many qualified indigenes of the town, and also expressed immense appreciation to the IDA, for the opportunity given to them to serve the community.

He commended the association's executive for the achievements recorded during its tenure, and assured that the committee will discharge the assigned task without fear or favour, and organize a credible election, that will be acceptable to all stakeholders within the community.

He promised to create a level playing-ground for all contestants.

Present at the event were the Vice Chairman, Iperu Development Association, and Chairman, Ojude Oba Iperu Planning Committee, Otunba Taiwo OYEBANJO; Secretary, IDA Board of Trustees, Barr. Taiwo OWOKALADE; and members of the Executive Council of the Iperu Development Association.

Members of the Akesan Country Club, led by its President, Mr. Tope OGUNDERU, also attended the inauguration.
