MONARCH ENJOINS INDIGENES TO PROMOTE SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF IJAKA-ISALE



The Alaye of Ayetoro, Oba AbdulAzeez Adelakun, has called on sons and daughters of Ijaka Isale, in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, to cooperate with the newly installed Baale, Chief Engr. Temitope Bamigbade, towards promoting the socio-economic development of the community.


Oba Abdul-Azeez, who stated this while presenting the staff of Office to the newly installed monarch, at the community Market Square, Ijaka-Isale, in Yewa North Local Government Area of the state, emphasised the role of traditional institution in the development of any community, explaining that the monarchs serve as a bridge between the governed and the government.


He said the continuous cooperation, support, collaboration and prayers of the people would further ensure successful implementation of the present administration's ISEYA mantra, charging the new traditional ruler to put necessary mechanisms in place to ensure peaceful co-existence among the people in the area.


"I commend the people of Ijaka-Isale town for their support, cooperation and peaceful coexistence since the stool of Baale was vacant after the demise of former Baale, Chief Ishola Oloyede of Ajayi ruling House in the community. I implore you to give your utmost support to the new Baale, so that Ijaka-Isale can witness greater development.


"My appeal to the new Baale is to ensure that all his activities and policies as a traditional ruler of Ijaka-Isale enhance our Governor's vision by making the town a better place for all, no matter the tribe or ethnicity ", he said.


Earlier, the Balogun of Ijaka-Isale, Chief Mathew Akinde, appreciated the government and Alaye in Council for the approval given to the election of new Baale by the Ijaka-Isale king makers, admonishing the new Baale to use his leadership position to harness the potential and resources in the land for its advancement.


Remarking, the Iyalode and Bada of Ijaka-Isale, Chief Mrs. Taiwo Oluwole and Chief Adisa Fagbohun, enjoined the new community leader to continue to champion and promote peace among the people, to engender the desired growth and development of the land


In his acceptance speech, Chief Engr. Gbamigbade, appreciated the state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for supporting the traditional institution, as well as the unprecedented infrastructural development across the state, commending the indigenes of Ijaka-Isale, home and abroad for their immense contribution towards the development of the community and the state in general.
