OGUN GOVT LAUDS ON PALLIATIVE INITIATIVE

 


In a related development, the Grand Chief Imam of Remo kingdom, Alh. Abdul-Quadri Jinadu has given the thumbs up to Governor for continuing to bring smiles into faces of residents of the state with the provision of living-enhancing amenities across the nooks and crannies of the state


 

Alh. Jinadu who bore his mind at the sagamu eid praying ground today described the Governor's intervention in terms of the continued distribution of food palliative as a development that would  alleviate the current economic hardship an bring succour to the people.


“ The various ongoing interventions by the State governmentare ways to ameliorate the economic situation, it is a sign that Nigerians will soon come out of the current economic hardship.” He said.

He noted that both Christian and Muslim fasting periods coincided this year was a significant sign that the current biting economic situation would soon become a thing of the past, urging adherents of the two religions  to continue praying for the country and the leaders at all times

The Chief Imam urged Muslims to let the lessons of the holy month reflect in their daily activities, advising them to make patience, self discipline, love for one another, compassion, and kindness guide their daily activities.


In his remarks, the Asiwaju Adini, Ogun state and Baba Adini, Remoland, Alh. Samsideen Apelogun, appreciated the government for the palliative distribution, saying that this would go a long way in ameliorating the economic situation and put food on the table for the vulnerable.


He urged the people to celebrate with caution, advising them to adhere strictly to the tenets of Islam and allow the lessons learned during the holy month continue to guide their daily thoughts and deeds.


In separate interviews, Mrs. Selimotu Tijani and Alh. Nimotalai Adekunle,  thanked God for the successful completion of this year Ramadan, and commended the state government for the palliative that were distributed during and after the fasting period, ppoinnting out that the gesture had brought succour into many homes
