Former Vice President and 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, on Friday, met with fellow vice presidents, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and Namadi Sambo, in Ondo State ahead of the coronation of the new Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup.

Atiku made this known via a post on his X handle, stating that he was warmly received at the Akure Airport by Osinbajo, Sambo, and other prominent stakeholders.

The coronation ceremony, scheduled for Friday at Obokungbusi Hall in Ilesa, Osun State, will be followed by a grand reception at Ilesa Grammar School.

In a related development, Atiku and Sambo also paid a courtesy visit to former Osun State Governor and ex-Minister of Interior, Alhaji Rauf Aregbesola, at his Lagos residence for a breakfast meeting.

The meeting comes amid ongoing consultations within opposition circles ahead of the 2027 general elections.
