EKFC, the football club owned by Hon. Wale Kuku, has proudly produced three exceptional players for the Ogun State team currently competing in the ongoing National Sports Festival, hosted here in Ogun State. These three players successfully made it into the final 18-man squad and remarkably, they are the only ones selected from the entire Ijebu Zone following a rigorous screening and scouting process led by the Ogun State team management.

 Agwuncha Chiemerie Francis, Maika Oghenekanu Prince, and Olatunji Gideon Kayode are the EKFC Players who made it to the final 18-man squad of the Ogun State team.

Under the visionary leadership and tireless support of Hon. Wale Kuku, Ijebu land has witnessed significant sporting development. Notably, there has been improved talent exposure through EKFC and local grassroots programs, enabling more young talents from Ijebu to gain visibility and access to national-level opportunities. Additionally, there has been access to quality training by developing and engaging quality trainers and providing training equipment. Furthermore, strategic empowerment of local athletes has been achieved, with young athletes now enjoying better training, mentorship, and access to competitions across the country.

The impact of this development is evident in the Ogun State team's performance, which has clinched a thrilling 2-1 victory over Delta State, a testament to the strength and impact of local talent. The team is now in the semi-finals. Hon. Wale Kuku's influence extends beyond EKFC, as he also serves as the Chairman of the Sports Directorate at 3SG and Chairman - APFAN Ogun State Chapter, shaping the future of sports development across Ogun State.

It would be recalled that the first Wale Kuku 5-aside football tourney was hosted in MKO Stadium, Abeokuta, and was held in December 2024.
