The police in Kaduna State have said that the man who breached security during President Bola Tinubu’s visit to the state is mentally unstable.
Mansir Hassan, the spokesperson for the Kaduna Police Command said the man was born with a psychiatric disorder.
Recall that while Tinubu was addressing stakeholders during the commissioning of projects in Kaduna, a man had charges towards him but was immediately restrained by security operatives.
In a statement issued on Friday, Hassan said the man, identified as Umar Mohammed is a native of Anguwan Muazu in Kaduna.
According to Hassan, Mohammed was screened and admitted into the venue of the event as a supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He added that Mohanned was also wearing the standard APC’s campaign t-shirt.
He said the man was also carrying banners bearing the images of President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani like every other supporter admitted into the stadium.
Hassan noted that Mohammed charged towards the president out of excitement, breaching protocol and jumping into the restricted area.
He was immediately restricted and searched by security operatives and no incriminating weapon or item was found on him.
