TRACE AT 20: TROWA ORGANISES FITNESS WALK, SENSITISES GENERAL PUBLIC ON SAFETY TIPS

 


Motorists have been advised to always ensure that their vehicles are in good condition before embarking on any journey and avoid overspeeding.


The Area Commander, Training and Public Education, Commander, Morolake Filani, gave the advice at Kuto Garage, during a Fitness Walk organised by TRACE Officer's Wife Association (TROWA) in marking 20 Years Anniversary of Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), saying that Commercial and Private car owners should always check the condition and maintain their vehicles to avoid road crashes.


According to her " When you want to embark on any journey make sure that you check your tyres, brake and other necessary things and avoid over speeding, overloading and adhere strictly to traffic rules and regulations"


In her contribution, TRACE, Public Education Officer, Commander, Oluwatoyin Fatoberum, discouraged market men and women from displaying their wares and goods by the roadside, urging them to  utilise the shops and stalls made available for them by the State Government,


She also admonished the traders to always maintain hygienic environment to ward off any epidemic capable of jeopardising their healthy living and to always educate their children on the need to obey traffic lights.


In her remarks the Chairperson, TROWA, Chief Mrs. Moronke Ogunyemi, commended  TRACE for their concerted efforts at sensitising commercial drivers, market men and women, on the need to prioritise  their safety, appreciating them for creating  public awareness about the importance of traffic management.
