The 2025 Akesan Day Planning Committee is pleased to announce the unveiling of the official logo and theme for this year's event, scheduled to take place in November. The logo and theme are designed to capture the essence of the celebration and promote unity and development in Iperu Akesanland.
The newly-unveiled logo features the event name and community name, incorporating traditional symbols of Iperu Remo, including the claypot, palmtree, and Eyo masquerade, creatively inserted into the middle of a circle. These symbols represent the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the people of Iperu. They are all interwoven to create a striking representation of the town's identity.
The chosen theme for the 2025 Akesan Day Celebration - "Building a Stronger and United Iperu Akesanland." underscores the event's core objective which aims to foster unity among the indigenes, promote inclusivity and stimulate socio-economic development within the town. The commitee ably led by Otunba Wale ABDUL (MBA, FCA, ACIB), believes that this year's celebration will serve as a catalyst for positive change, bringing together sons and daughters from all walks of life to work towards a shared vision of a harmonious and prosperous future for their beloved community.
It believes that the logo and theme will inspire the community to participate actively in the celebration and contribute to the growth and development of Iperu Akesanland.
The committee enjoins all indigenes and well-wishers to join in the celebration and support the actualisation of the theme's objectives.
