......Declares Support for Governor Abiodun’s Senatorial Ambition

In a bold move to support grassroots development and youth empowerment, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Leader in Ijebu Ode Local Government, Hon. Ibitayo Ibrahim Oluwaseyi, has launched a comprehensive empowerment initiative aimed at promoting self-reliance among constituents.

The event, held at the Ijebu Ode Local Government Secretariat, Itoro, attracted a large turnout of beneficiaries, party faithful, and community leaders.

The empowerment program featured the distribution of various items including sewing machines, hairdressing equipment, agricultural sprayers, POS machines, school bags, notebooks, clippers, and startup capital to selected beneficiaries across the 11 wards of the local government area.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Ibitayo Ibrahim Oluwaseyi stated that the initiative was part of his commitment to giving back to the community and supporting the state government’s efforts to reduce unemployment and poverty.

"Under my stewardship, we have empowered 18 students through scholarships, trained 335 youths in various skills acquisition programs, and today, 150 more youths will benefit from this empowerment initiative.

“This is a small but significant step toward equipping our people—especially the youth and women—with the tools to become self-sufficient. We believe that empowering one person uplifts an entire family, and by extension, the whole community.” He said.

Hon. Ibitayo further acknowledged the financial support of political leaders within the council area and expressed gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun for his unwavering commitment to youth development across the state. 

He pledged the support of Ogun East youths for Governor Abiodun’s 2027 senatorial ambition.

Also speaking at the event, Chairman of the Governor’s Advisory Council, Pa Oluneye Okuboyejo, emphasized the importance of youth empowerment, noting that young people constitute over 70% of Nigeria’s population. 

He stressed that equipping them with the tools and opportunities to thrive politically and economically is vital for the nation’s future.

APC Chairman of Ijebu Ode Local Government, Hon. Surajudeen Logere, commended Hon. Ibitayo for his selfless service and dedication to the upliftment of party members through impactful initiatives.

Some beneficiaries, including Blessing Kalejaiye and Abiodun Muslimot, expressed their appreciation in separate remarks, describing the program as timely and life-changing.

Highlights of the event included the official welcoming of new members into the Ijebu Ode APC, notably the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and members of the Igbo Community, led by Anointed Sammy.
