The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State, Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, has commended Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her visionary leadership in launching the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Flow with Confidence sanitary pads project, aimed at supporting schoolgirls across the country.

Princess Animashaun who joined dignitaries, policymakers, and stakeholders across the state at the official unveiling of the project, hosted by the Wife of the state Governor and State Coordinator of RHI, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu.

The initiative, which provides disposable sanitary pads for schoolgirls, is being celebrated as a groundbreaking step in menstrual health advocacy and girl-child empowerment.

In her remarks, the Epe Council Chairman praised Senator Tinubu as “a true mother of the nation whose compassion and foresight continue to birth life-changing initiatives for women, children, and the less privileged.”

She described the Flow with Confidence project as “a message of dignity, hope, and empowerment for the girl-child, beyond just menstrual health.”

Princess Animashaun also lauded Dr. Sanwo-Olu for her commitment to grassroots implementation of the initiative in the State.

She reaffirmed her administration’s readiness to partner with relevant stakeholders in advancing programmes that uplift women and children, in line with the Renewed Hope vision of the current administration.

“The dignity of our girls must be preserved, and through this initiative, we are giving them confidence to stay in school, dream big, and contribute meaningfully to society,” she said.
