The Fusengbuwa Royal Family, the next ruling house entitled to produce the new Awujale of Ijebuland, has declared that no individual has been adopted as its consensus candidate for the vacant throne.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen by the family’s Public Relations Officer, Omoba Abiodun Adesanya Ogidan.
According to the statement, members of the public are urged to disregard rumours circulating on social media and other platforms suggesting that the Fusengbuwa Royal Family has reached an agreement on presenting a particular person as its consensus candidate for the revered Awujale stool.
The statement emphasized that there is no division within the Fusengbuwa Royal Family, adding that its affairs concerning the process of filling the vacant stool are being coordinated by a standing committee.
Part of the statement read:
“The Fusengbuwa Royal Family has not adopted anyone as its consensus candidate for the Awujale of Ijebuland stool.
We wish to inform the general public that the Fusengbuwa Royal Family remains united, with a standing committee managing the family’s affairs regarding the forthcoming Obaship of Awujale of Ijebuland.
Any information or publication not emanating from the PRO of the family should be regarded as null and void.”
