Impactspring Foundation Uplifts Ijagun Community at 5th Annual Empowerment Programme

The Impactspring Foundation has once again extended its footprint of community support as it held the 5th edition of its Annual Empowerment Programme themed “Empowering Dreams, Building Futures” at the Oloja Compound in Ijagun.

The event, which drew dignitaries and residents from Ijagun and neighbouring communities, highlighted the foundation’s commitment to improving lives through structured empowerment initiatives.

Special Guest of Honour and Chairman of the occasion, Prince Kola Akinyemi, praised the founder and host, Hon. Olujimi Oloja, noting that the gesture reflects his long-standing passion for community development. Prince Akinyemi recalled meeting Hon. Oloja during their days in the Odogbolu Local Council, where Oloja served as the youngest councillor and he himself was clerk of the house. He described Oloja as a consistent, compassionate leader whose humanitarian efforts have always stood out.

“What Hon. Oloja has done today is not surprising,” Prince Akinyemi said. “He has always shown a deep sense of responsibility to his people, especially his hometown Ijagun. This empowerment is a continuation of what he naturally embodies.”

Although unavoidably absent, Hon. Olujimi Oloja delivered his remarks through Mrs. Bunmi, expressing gratitude to the chairman, guests, and well-meaning Nigerians who supported the programme—including Hon. Lekan Adeleye, Hon. Okeowo, and others. He stressed that the initiative was not politically motivated but a deliberate effort to uplift individuals and communities.

Hon. Oloja explained that the empowerment model is structured in three stages:

1. Care for the needy,

2. Business support, and

3. Community assistance.

He encouraged beneficiaries to maximize the funds received, especially those under the business support category, urging them to grow their enterprises and improve their livelihoods.

This year’s empowerment saw a broad distribution of support:

20 aged beneficiaries received ₦20,000 each,

17 individuals received ₦50,000 for business support,

10 beneficiaries received ₦100,000,

10 solar-powered streetlights were distributed across three towns—Ikofa (3), Agoro (4), and Abapawa (3),

A woman also had her eye surgery fully sponsored by the foundation.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Doyin Awolesi, expressed heartfelt appreciation, noting that the support would significantly boost her business and ease her financial burdens.

The 5th Annual Empowerment Programme once again reinforces Impactspring Foundation’s growing impact in local communities, with Hon. Oloja promising to sustain and expand initiatives aimed at building a better future for residents across the area.
