In an effort to contribute towards improving hygienic conditions among students, the Makun High School Old Students Association (MAHSOSA) 2006 cohort has commissioned an Ultra-Modern Public Toilet Project at the Junior section of the School in Sagamu.
Speaking during the commissioning, the National President of the Makun High School, Old Students Association (MAHSOSA), Mr. Ibrahim Mojeed, said the project was not a solitary effort but a profound statement of unwavering commitment and enduring love for their alma mater.
Mojeed noted that the infrastructure was aimed at improving the educational environment, adding that the project represents, “the essence of legacy, a testament to the values and memories instilled during their formative years, and an earnest effort in giving back to the school that played a significant role in shaping their futures.”
In his address, the Principal, Makun High School (Junior), Mr. Olusegun Oyewusi, stated that the modern toilet facility stands as a testament to the school’s unwavering commitment to providing a pristine, secured and wholesome environment for students, staff and visitors alike, asserting that every individual was entitled to dignity and respect.
He expressed his gratitude to the alumni for their invaluable contributions in bringing the project to fruition, stating, “Those who give shall never want; may you continue to flourish and thrive.”
The Principal called for collective efforts towards the care for the facility, urging users to care for the toilets, use them judiciously, and uphold a clean and hygienic environment.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Makun High School, Sagamu, Mr. Sunday Oyeyemi, advised alumni to always ensure that any project they wish to undertake as a class should, be coordinated through the national body to ensure alignment with the school’s standards.
He expressed his gratitude to the class of 2006 for their initiative, stating that “they have acted with prudence and brought us great pride.”
Speaking, the Chairman, MAHSOSA 2006 set, Comrade Bashiru Hammed, extended a warm welcome to all attendees and expressed gratitude to the Ogun state government, through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology for approving the project.
