As part of measures to foster progress and development, the Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Jubril Odulate, has officially flagged off the construction of the 2.4-kilometres Ajegunle–Araromi Road in Sagamu.

Odulate said the initiative marked another milestone in the administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and expanding economic opportunities within the council area.

He expressed appreciation to the investors who partnered with the local government on the project, noting that, their presence reflected growing global confidence in Sagamu and Ogun State as a promising hub for economic expansion.

The Chairman lauded the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for creating an enabling environment that had continued to attract both local and foreign investments, adding that the Governor’s infrastructural policies and pro-investment reforms had played major roles in strengthening Sagamu’s development outlook.

While addressing members of the community, Odulate commended their cooperation and peaceful disposition, just as he emphasised that development thrived where mutual understanding existed.

Odulate revealed that the road project was designed to ease movement, boost commercial activities and enhance the overall quality of life, while highlighting also, the importance of community-driven security  that would watch over properties  especially equipment on site,  urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities promptly to the authorities.

“Security is everyone’s business. Whenever you notice anything unusual, do not hesitate to inform security agencies. If you see something, say it,” he said.

Stakeholders described the project as a major step toward unlocking new social and economic opportunities in Sagamu.
