No fewer than 95 candidates have been nominated for consideration for the vacant Awujale of Ijebuland stool, following the commencement of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House nomination meeting.

The event, held at Bisrod Hall, GRA, Ijebu Ode, was attended by members of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, where the nomination and secondment of candidates were carried out in line with tradition.

Speaking with journalists, the Chairman and Head of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, Otunba Abdul Lateef Adebayo Owoyemi, disclosed that after the nomination process, the names of the candidates would be forwarded to the Afobajes for screening. 

He added that the name eventually selected would be presented to the Ogun State Government for consideration and approval.

Otunba Owoyemi confirmed that a total of 95 candidates successfully scaled through the nomination stage.

Also speaking, the Onirete of Irete-Ijebu, Oba Abdulganiu Awokoya Yesufu, commended the process, describing it as smooth and orderly. 

Kabiyesi expressed confidence that the exercise would produce the most suitable candidate for the vacant stool.
