The Chairman, House of Assembly Service Commission and Former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Suraj Adekunbi, has expressed confidence that the reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the “ISEYA” mantra of Governor Dapo Abiodun, have significantly strengthened the credibility and electoral fortunes of the present Government, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He made this known at a stakeholders’ meeting and Ward Congress at the Yewa North Local government council, where stakeholders, community representatives and political office holders gathered to appraise ongoing reforms at the Federal and State levels.
He added that the President Tinubu’s sweeping reforms in education, healthcare, agricultural productivity and infrastructural development were laying a solid foundation for sustainable national growth.
“President Tinubu’s reform agenda, though bold and far-reaching, is designed to reposition Nigeria for long-term prosperity, from revitalising the education sector and expanding access to student loans, to improving healthcare delivery and boosting agricultural productivity, the administration is confronting structural challenges head-on.”
The Former Speaker further said that ongoing infrastructural investments across the country, particularly in roads, rail and energy, would have multiplier effects on job creation and economic stability.
“In the coming years, Nigerians will appreciate the full impact of these reforms. The Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan; it is a practical roadmap to national development,” he said.
Also speaking, an Elder statesman, Hon. Bisiriyu Popoola, noted that the synergy between the Federal Government’s reform-driven policies and Governor Dapo Abiodun’s “ISEYA” mantra in Ogun State had positioned the APC as a party committed to performance and accountability.
He noted that the ‘ISEYA’ mantra, which focused on inclusive growth, social welfare, education, youth empowerment and agriculture, aligned perfectly with the President’s broader reform objectives, hence, the deliberate investments in infrastructure, healthcare facilities, schools and rural development, maintaining further that governance anchored on results would ultimately determine voters’ confidence in 2027.
A party chieftain, Chief Kunle Adeosun who spoke at the gathering said the reforms in agricultural productivity, including support for farmers, mechanisation initiatives and value-chain development, were already enhancing food security and rural livelihoods.
Similarly, a Senior Legislative aid to the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio and Alhaji Isiaq Abass commended ongoing interventions in primary healthcare and social investment programmes, noting that grassroots communities were beginning to feel the impact of government policies.
Other stakeholders at the meeting echoed similar sentiments, describing the APC as a party that had demonstrated resilience and capacity to implement difficult but necessary reforms.
The stakeholders concluded that sustained implementation of people-centred policies, coupled with effective communication of achievements would further consolidate the APC’s standing across Ogun State and the nation.
