AKARIGBO INSTALLS NEW MONARCHS








With a deep sense of duty to the heritage and the future of the land, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland Oba Babatunde Ajayi, has formally installed five new royal fathers across Remoland.


The newly installed monarchs were HRH Oba Olusola Ayobola Jayesimi as Eleyin of Eleyin, HRH Oba Amusa Hassan Vincent as Gbelegbade of Irepodun Emuren, HRH Oba Oladuni Olayinka Ifagbemi as Oloke of Oke Ariko, Sagamu, HRH Oba Sunday Oladimeji Osho as Elewuga of Ewuga, Sagamu and HRH Oba Bilau Hassan Kehinde as Oloke of Oke Ona, Emuren.


Oba Ajayi who installed the monarchs at the Akarigbo Royal Event Hall, Ita-Oba, Sagamu, said the occasion was not merely a tradition fulfilled, but “a solemn transfer of responsibility and a reminder that leadership in our land is service, sacrifice and stewardship”.


Akarigbo advised the monarchs to guide the people with a blend of wisdom, humility, courage and compassion, emphasising that these virtues were essential in navigating the complexities of leadership and in fostering a harmonious relationship with the community.


He added that by embodying these qualities, the Monarchs would not only inspire trust and respect among their subjects but also ensure that their reign are marked by fairness and understanding, praying that during their time, there would be peace and advance development in their domains and in Remoland as a whole.            The Akarigbo used the medium to appreciate the presence of the Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Honourable Afolabi Odulate, Vice Chairman, Honourable Isiaka, Obas across Remoland, the Akarigbo-in-Council, led by the Lisa and the many sons and daughters of Remoland.


Speaking on behalf of the Obas, His Royal Highness the Oloke of Oke Ariko Oba Olayinka Ifagbemi, expressed gratitude to the State Government, Akarigbo, and the entire community for their generosity and support, pledging to serve with the utmost aim to advance peace and development.
