The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Youth Development,  Honourable Tunde Delu on Tuesday chaired the 8th Inter- House Sports Competition at Taidob College, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Honorable Delu also declared laid the foundation for Taidob College Indoor Sports Arena.

Abiodun's aide was accompanied by three renowned state and national athletics coaches, Bamidele Elegbede, Abayomi Ashipa and Olufemi Durosanya who identified at least 16 athletes that are capable of competing at higher levels.

Honorable Delu in his speech encouraged the students to strive for academic excellence while actively taking part in sports. 

He also commended the school for creating a supportive environment and providing facilities that enable students to engage in a variety of extracurricular activities.

According to him, Inter-House Sports Competition is a way of discovering young talents, instilling values of resilience, teamwork, and healthy competition among the students.

He therefore commended the current administration of Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun for his commitment to youth development, sports, and community engagement across the state. 

Meanwhile, the management, staff, and students of Taidob College appreciated Honourable Delu for his contribution to the success of the Inter-House Sports Competition.

They hailed him for his exemplary leadership and his commitment towards promoting Sports in the State.

The school honored him with an award of excellence which was presented to him by former Vice Chancelor, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Prof. Sabur Adesanya.

At  the end of the event, the SSA presented  medals and trophies to outstanding winners of Inter-House Sports Competition.
